Claire Phillips
Writer & Director
Claire graduated UTS with a BA in Communications (Media Arts and Production). Since then, she has worked as the Production Coordinator at Dungog Film Festival, and Marketing and Distribution Coordinator at Australian Film Syndicate. Claire’s writing and directing credits include Iris and Tundra, winner of the Youth Category at Canberra Short Film Festival, and winner of Best Script and Best Overall Film at the biennial UTS Golden Eye award. Claire currently has several projects in development, including an adaptation of Mandy Sayer’s short story We Want Our Dealer Back.
Cassie Kelly
Producer
Over the last 5 years, Cassie has worked on numerous short and feature films, including the 2007 Sydney Film Festival premiere Cross Life. Cassie has worked as the Production Coordinator and Publicity and Promotions Manager at Australian Film Syndicate and as the Programming Coordinator at the 2009 Dungog Film Festival. More recently, Cassie has worked as the Project Manager of the 2010 Inaugural Australian Film Festival and as Production Manager of an animated educational series with Dashboard Animals. She is currently producing an outstanding slate of short films, including The Burnt Cork with screenwriter Alexandra Edmondson.
Erin Black
DOP
Erin Black has crewed on an extensive range of feature films, television series, TVC’s, short films and music clips. Feature films include Stuart Beattie’s directorial debut Tomorrow When the War Began, Red Hill (Official Selection Berlin International Film Festival 2009) and Fred Schepsi’s The Eye of the Storm.
Erin completed her BA in Communications (MAP) in 2008, during which time she was awarded the Kodak Award for the short film Tundra. In 2009, her work on the same film was nominated and awarded an honourable mention for Best Cinematography at the UTS Golden Eye Awards by cinematographer Toby Oliver. Tundra went on to win Best Overall Film at the 2009 Golden Eye Awards, Best Student Film at Newtown Flicks, and Best Film (Youth) at Canberra Short Film Festival. .
Josh Groom
Editor
Joshua Groom has completed a Masters in Film Editing at AFTRS and is credited as Editor on a number of TV programs, advertisements, music videos, documentaries, short films and features. These include the second series of Top Gear Australia (SBS), The Great Australian Doorstep (Channel Seven) and Jeff Balsmeyer’s feature Longshot. Josh’s nominations and awards include; 2009 IF Award Nominee for best music video – Birds of Tokyo’s Wild Eyed Boy, 2008 ARIA Award Nominee, 2008 IF Award Winner & 2008 J Award Nominee for best music video – Angus and Julia Stone’s Just a Boy. 2009 ASTRA Award Winner for most outstanding music program – MAX Music – Coldplay (editor).
Alison See
Art Director
Alison completed her BA in Communications (MAP) at UTS, Certificate in Drawing and Painting for Design at COFA and Certificate in Art Direction at AFTRS. Alison’s credits as art director include, Abbie, dir. Erin Good, Invasion, dir. Jessica Redenbach, (Official Selection Palm Springs International Short Fest 2009), Iris and Tundra dir. Claire Phillips. In 2008 she wrote, directed, co-produced and production designed her short film Castlemaine, which premiered at the 2009 Dungog Film Festival.
